IWD is a day to celebrate the incredible women around us, past and present. This piece depicts Martin Jennings’ sculpture ‘Women of Steel’,
which commemorates the women of Sheffield who worked in the city’s steel industry during the First World War and Second World War.
The original sculpture can be found at Barker’s Pool, outside the Sheffield City Hall.
